How our data works
Fahrschulsucher shows 9,319 driving schools, 1793 of them with a complete price list. Every number on this platform has a source — and we show it to you instead of just claiming it.
Where the data comes from
- Public directories provide the basic records: name, address and website of every driving school in Germany.
- Our crawler reads the driving schools' websites — politely: at most one request per second per website, robots.txt is respected, and we identify ourselves honestly.
- An AI extracts the facts — prices, theory times, languages, licence categories — under one strict rule: no quote, no value. Only what is written word for word on the website is used. If a detail is missing, it stays empty with us — we never estimate.
- Every value carries its evidence: the verbatim quote from the page, the source and the date it was retrieved. Tap a badge like this one:

The three levels
Read from the website. Captured automatically, with quote and date. Shown in grey until the driving school confirms it.
Confirmed by the driving school. The school has claimed its profile and checked the details. (The confirmation process starts soon.)
Official. From October 2027, all driving schools must report their prices and pass rates to a government transparency register (the bill is before the Bundestag). As soon as the data exists, it will appear here — with this badge.
What we deliberately don't show
- Pass rates — no driving school publishes them today. We don't simulate any: they will come from official sources, from October 2027.
- Start dates and free places — we only show them once driving schools maintain them with us. No invented urgency, no “only 2 places left”.
- Google reviews in lists or in the ranking — Google's rules forbid storing them. On profile pages we load stars live from Google, with attribution, and store nothing.
- Estimated prices — if a number is missing, it says “Prices not online” with a direct way to send an enquiry. Never a placeholder value.

Websites change. If a detail is wrong (or no longer right): every source badge has a “Report an error” link — or write directly to info@fahrschulsucher.de. Driving schools can claim their profile at any time and maintain their data themselves.
